Jack C. Carmichael P.E. Scholarship Program
Here’s a “member benefit” we ALL should be taking advantage of. Do you have a family member who is eligible to receive a TxSWANA scholarship? The Chapter awarded $10,000 in scholarships last year. Please make sure your family member gets a chance to benefit from this.
There are three scholarship types considered by the Board:
Type I - Graduating High School Seniors or Equivalent
Type II - Currently enrolled in College with a non-Solid Waste Management focus
Type III - Currently enrolled in College with Solid Waste Management focus
To be eligible for a scholarship applicant must meet the requirements shown on the application.
Scholarship applications for 2020 are now available by clicking HERE. Applications are due May 1 of the current year.
TxSWANA may submit winning applications to SWANA National for potential scholarship awards.
SWANA National Scholarships
In order to prepare the next generation for the environmentally and economically sound practice of solid waste, SWANA has developed several scholarship and internship programs for students studying in fields related to solid waste management.
