Legislative Activities

Although the Texas Legislature did not hold a regular session in 2026, preparations for the 2027 session are underway. TxSWANA is monitoring emerging issues and potential legislation that could affect the waste and resource management industry.

The Board of Directors receives legislative briefings at most monthly meetings to stay informed and support the chapter’s preparations. Members are invited to attend these meetings to follow legislative developments and contribute their perspectives.
