2018 TxSWANA Conference

The 2018 TxSWANA Conference will be held in Denton, Texas.  The annual Conference is the biggest solid waste education and tradeshow event held in Texas each year.  The Conference offers the opportunity to see what's new in equipment, waste management trends and regulatory issues.  Join hundreds of industry professionals for facility tours, technical sessions, exhibits and networking opportunities.

Technical Tours

Technical tours will take place begining the morning of Monday, April 16, 2018. There are three options available"

Option 1

Technical tour to City of Denton ECO-W.E.R.C.S. facility (including landfill, compost, and Pratt MRF), and Tetra Pak North American Headquarters.

Option 2

Technical Tour to Champion C&D Recycling

Option 3

Technical tour to FCC Environmental Services state-of-the-art MRF at McCommas Bluffs Landfill

The 2018 Conference Committee would like to invite you to join us as a sponsor and/or exhibitor at The Texas Lone Star Chapter of the Solid Waste of North America annual conference that will take place April 16-18, 2018. Participating as a sponsor or exhibitor is a great way to showcase your products, equipment, and services. TxSWANA has over 400 members from the public and private sectors and we anticipate that over 250 delegates will attend this year’s conference. 

But please be aware that this year we made a few changes to the registration process. Sponsors will have an opportunity to select their booth location based on the sponsorship level and how early payment is received. Once selection is made and payment cleared, booth spaces will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. If all spots become reserved after payment has been submitted, refunds will be offered. Requests for booths and payments will not be accepted after March 15, 2018, so please make sure to register early. If you are attending only as an exhibitor, please be sure secure your registration early; space is limited.

The TxSWANA board of directors invites you to submit a brief summary describing the presentation you would like to delivery at the 2018 TXWANA Conference! The TxSWANA conference offers you a platform to showcase your professional contributions to an audience that is made up of solid waste management professionals from all over the state of Texas. It’s an opportunity to contribute to the industry’s body of knowledge by sharing your data and findings, lessons learned, innovative ideas, and by raising challenging questions to elicit thought-provoking discussions amongst your peers.

Make sure to include the following items in an electronic submittal with your Abstract. Submittals without this information may be deemed non-responsive:

  • Name of presenter(s)
  • Professional title
  • Presenter's resume
  • Headshot or other photo for use in printed conference material
  • Presenter(s) contact information (phone number and e-mail)
  • Name of company/organization
  • Project/program/research paper title
